Objects were an important part of the life of soldiers and are inherently linked to their experiences in that conflict. The purpose of this project is to present and understand the material culture of the soldiers who served in the conflict and how that material culture continued to influence them even after their time in the war was complete.
The idea of using a digital gallery to display the objects will allow for a wider range of audience members to access and utilize the information provided. This list includes; any person(s) interested in learning about the Vietnam war; such as academics, teachers, military history enthusiasts, individuals influenced by the Vietnam War and Vietnam veterans. It is hoped that individuals will interact with the exhibit in a way that helps to develop, or further develop, their understanding of the average soldier who used the objects.
